BRIX Condominiums is officially open! This brand new community located in the heart of downtown Salem officially opened this month and residents have been moving into the completed building over the past few weeks. Salem Mayor Kimberly Driscoll was on hand to offer a few remarks at the grand opening event. She reflected back on the complexity and challenges the project faced and praised both the BRIX development team as well as all the various departments and individuals in Salem that helped bring BRIX to life. 

"We have an extremely talented Salem redevelopment authority who said 'how do we position ourselves for success?'" Mayor Driscoll said. "And then we have people who are willing to put it on the line and say 'we want to do something really good here.' That doesn't happen unless we have a strong, aligned team working to think about the heart of downtown Salem; how to make this place really tick. A block away from the busiest commuter rail station in the MBTA system; an opportunity to see an old city vibrant and come alive."

BRIX is located on the site of the former federal courthouse and serves as the new entryway to downtown Salem. The architecture, design, and construction caught the eye of the New England Real Estate Journal and was recently named as a Project of the Month for the third time! In addition, BRIX was also recognized with two distinguished PRISM Awards for excellence in marketing.
