“Customers will never love a company until the employees love it first.”
– Simon Sinek, author, Start with Why
That quote has stuck with me for a while now. It's why we are an employee-first organization.
But the truth is this is being an employee-first company is actually hard to do.
No business has unlimited resources, and we certainly do not either.
No company has perfect leaders, or perfect employees, or perfect alignment every day.
Mistakes are human, and will always be made.
However, one of the things I said in the video below when talking to the team on our recent Boston Harbor cruise was that all of our success is "fundamentally and only because of the team we have at Charlesgate."
What does it mean to be an employee first culture?
It means appreciating the work team memebers do every day.
It means providing opportunities for quality feedback to help inspire the direction of the company.
It means providing flexibility for employees when deired and support when needed.
It means understanding that we all live in an "always-on" world now and expectations for how work gets done may mean different things for different people.
It means building an inspring culture around a core "why" - that what we do is one of the most important things any of us could be doing for others in our community. Ever. We have the ability to positively transform people's lives by guiding them in their most fundamental human needs and positively transform communities
Our Vision is to inspire and empower our team, our clients, and our communities through comprehensive real estate solutions.
