UPDATE (FEB 11, 2009): My 2000-2009 Boston condo market report is now complete. Download it now!
Here's a sneak peak at my Boston condo market report for year end 2009 that will be released in full early next week. The project has morphed over the past few weeks to become a lot more detailed and incorporate data for the entire past decade. To me, a key element of understanding the market is not just looking at the one year comparisons that you often see in the newspapers, but actually digging in and reviewing what has happened over the past several years and decade. And possibly even more importantly, it is Boston specific, with local neighborhood level detail - information you never find in the newspapers.
My goal is for this report be one of the most (if not the most) comprehensive resources on the Boston market ever produced. Hopefully you'll find it useful. By presenting the data with clear, easy to understand graphs and concise analysis for all neighborhoods of Boston, I've tried to make it as useful as possible to any buyer, seller, or owner in the Boston real estate market (or to anyone just curious about the market).
With over 100 pages of information, I've broken down the Boston market citywide, then the "downtown" market, the "luxury" market, and finally go into detail for each neighborhood. For an idea, here are some of the highlights from the Back Bay section of the report (there will be commentary with each section in the report, but here are just a few of the graphs for now):
That's a sample of data from parts of the Back Bay section of the report. If you're interested in more, make sure to sign up to automatically receive the report as soon as it's published!
