Sick of getting hosed by Boston parking prices

Like what you're reading? Check out a few other options available:

Buying a spot isn't an option for most (especially when the costruns upwards of $300,000), and clearly renting a spot ain't cheap (link to BBJ - 2nd hihest parking costs in country) and even renting by the hour is ridiculous.  I had a meeting last week at City HAll and I parked across the street and had to pay $40 for 90 minutes of parking.  Yes $40 american dollars, and I didn't get a wash and wax along with it.  Just a place to park my car, blocked in by another car so I had to leave my key with the attendent!  Absurdity.

How can you fight it?

1. Risk a ticket

2. Best parking.com

3. don't drive (but as you know my feelings on taxi's and mbta in boston from this post that's not much of an option)

4. don't go anywhere - live in a great local neighborhood

5. use zip car - oops, still need to pay for parking

6. bicycle? does the phrase "out of shape" apply?

7.
