We are very excited to welcome to Charlesgate Realty our newest agent, Jon Kumin! Here is a little background on Jon who specializes in buyers, sellers, and renters!

Jon spent the first 10 years of his career working in Research Equity Sales.  Most recently, he worked with Wells Fargo, the largest mortgage bank in the United States. At Wells Fargo, Jon spent a considerable amount of time working in Real Estate Capital Markets where he discovered his true passion for real estate, and made the decision to pursue a career in real estate full time.

Having grown up in Boston’s Back Bay, Jon has a deep understanding of the city’s rich architectural history as well as its growth and infrastructure development. Drawing on his knowledge of Boston, his favorite city in the world, Jon decided to focus his real estate efforts on Boston and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Jon began his career in Real Estate at a top rental volume brokerage firm in Boston. He quickly gained experience, completing over 50 real estate transactions as a renter’s agent, buyer’s agent and seller’s agent.    

When Jon is not working, he most enjoys spending time with his wife and his Golden Retriever, Wally. Jon is also an avid Boston sports enthusiast, and loves everything to do with the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots. 

We sat down with Jon and asked him a couple questions:

Why did you decide to pursue real estate as your career?

What brought you to Charlesgate?
Charlesgate Realty has a great reputation as being one of the top brokerage firms in Boston. I’ve had great experiences working on deals with Charlesgate agents in the past, and overall, am very impressed with the company culture.  

What are you most excited about in starting your new career (in real estate at Charlesgate)?
Having grown up in Boston’s Back Bay, I have a deep understanding of the city’s architectural history, and have witnessed first-hand its growth through new infrastructure development. I’m excited to be working in this vibrant city that I know so well, and look forward to sharing my knowledge with buyers.

What do you like to do outside of work?
