Lovejoy Wharf is an exciting new condo project coming to North Station in Boston. It will feature 157 luxury homes with breathtaking views in a location that can’t be beat. Units will be a mix from studios to 3-bedroom homes and feature the amenities you would expect with 24-hour doorman, fitness center, and lounge. What the building will not include, however, is resident parking.

In an article with Boston Globe, Michael DiMella, managing partner at Charlesgate Realty, discusses how this may not be an impediment to sales with the emerging trends in transportation. He says it is easier to envision a car-free lifestyle downtown with the emergence of uber/lyft and other similar services.

“Back then, they were really stepping out with this theory. I appreciate the forward thinking,” DiMella said. “Depending on what happens here, you may see other developers rejiggering their buildings to reduce parking.”
