Located @ 1 Nashua Street
As we’ve written week-after-week, every Boston neighborhood is experiencing some sort of large-scale construction activity. Amid the boom news you’ve probably read about Downtown Crossing’s
Millennium Tower or the Back Bay’s
Four Seasons Hotel & Residences at One Dalton, both of which are currently under construction and set to become the tallest residential towers in Boston when complete. The third tallest residential tower under construction is the
Avalon North Station.
Abutting the western edge of North Station and the TD Garden along Nashua Street,
Avalon North Station will be 38 stories tall and more than 415 feet high. Featuring more than 503 apartments in over 600,000 square feet, this will be one of the largest single residential buildings in Boston upon completion. The CBT Architects-designed
Avalon North Station will feature a mix of studios, 1-bed, 2-bed, and even 3-bed apartments, and penthouses. There will also be a 1:1 ratio of dedicated bicycle storage for 503 bicycles, and a private 219-car garage for residents only. Like other Avalon buildings across the area, the Nashua Street residences will feature luxury amenities like a state-of-the-art fitness center, private conference space, and a common rooftop terrace overlooking the downtown skyline, Zakim Bridge, and the water.

Avalon North Station is one of several large projects set to transform the immediate vicinity of North Station and the West End neighborhood. The Garden Garage across the street is approved to be redeveloped into a 46-story residential tower with community park space. The parking lot between the TD Garden and Causeway Street is slated for 1.8 million square feet of additional mixed-use space including a 600-foot tower with 497 residences, a 300-room hotel, a signature office tower overlooking the Zakim Bridge, nearly a quarter million square feet of new retail (and high end movie theater!), and a 63,000 square-foot Star Market grocery store–the largest in Downtown Boston! Between the transformational redevelopments around North Station and the transit connectivity of North Station itself–orange line, green line, commuter rail, and Amtrak–
Avalon North Station will be an exciting place to call home when it opens its doors in Fall 2016.
