Fall Activities Near Boston
For many, Autumn is their favorite time of year in New England. The leaves changing color and the crispness in the air brings to mind what many people think of when they think about Boston and its surrounding areas. Real estate wise, it is a great time of year to get your home sold with a bit lower competition than other times of year as people prepare for the holidays. For buyers, rates are still low, low, low, making it enticing if you are able to take the time to look around during this busy time of year.
So what fun things are there to do? We have a few suggestions for you!
Apple Picking
Nothing screams “New England in Fall” like this traditional activity. A great way to spend an afternoon at one of the many locations around MA. You can see a map of local places provided by Boston.com in fact, making it super easy to find one near you!
Tour An Amazing House
In East CT,there is a gorgeous (and maybe a little spooky) house built in 1919 to resemble a medieval German fortress called Gillette Castle. There are all kinds of nooks to explore and a gorgeous view as well. Want something a little closer to home? Check out one of our Open Houses!
Check Out Some Foliage
Boston.com also has a great foliage map so you can take a nice drive out of the city and see the changing colors.
Blink!
This is a really cool feature down at Faneuil Hall that uses LED lighting and the sounds of the Boston Pops to give you the sights and music of the season. Starts November 23 @ 5:00 PM.
