Monthly Market Stats Just Released ~ View Them Here!

The housing stats for last month were just released by Massachusetts Association of Realtors. Home Prices have increased at a stronger pace than during the “Bubble Years,” showing us that the Housing Market is, certainly, recovering. New Listings in the Greater Boston region were up 12.9% for condos with Closed Sales increasing by 6.1%. The sales price was up too – around $389,000 for condos and $475,000 for single family homes.

Lack of inventory is still the problem for buyers in today’s market. Inventory is down almost 40% from where we were last year – with some neighborhoods having more than 60% fewer options for buyers. This is shown by the average days on market in the City of Boston resting at only 54 days…. down from 103 in April of last year.
