Beacon Hill is my favorite neighborhood in Boston. It is enchanting, to say the least. Claiming the crown as the first neighborhood in Boston, where the first settler resided in the 1600’s, reassures its residents that Beacon Hill is full of rich history. Straddling the Boston Common – and just steps from the Financial District, Back Bay, and North End – Beacon Hill is surrounded by some of Boston’s finest neighborhoods.

“What is there to not like about Beacon Hill? If I had to choose my top 3 reasons for choosing to live in Beacon Hill it would be the location, the history, and the entertainment. I can walk to work so I don’t have to worry about the T or bus. It’s also in the middle of everything so it’s quick trip to the Esplanade, Faneuil Hall, Back Bay, or even Fenway or Cambridge. Beacon Hill is also a pretty old neighborhood and has done its best to maintain that feel. The brick sidewalks and cobble stone streets can be difficult to walk on, but to me it’s worth it to maintain the ambiance. Finally, Beacon Hill runs the gamut of nightlife options. There are casual pubs, dive bars, and upscale restaurants and bistros–you really can’t go wrong. In addition to nightlife there’s shopping if you’re into that, and you can’t beat the esplanade in the summer for boating, fishing, or just hanging out with cold “drink” on one of the docks. Beacon Hill, in my opinion, is the best place to live in Boston… you can’t go wrong!” –Cory Pruett, Senior Asset Manager, Timber Group

Joey Smith, a Massachusetts native, has truly become the go-to-guy for dog walking. He walks many/countless dogs in Beacon Hill, and has become so busy that he has decided to finally name his services: “What Up Dog!!!” Give him a call and i’m sure you will be fully pleased. I see him almost every day, strolling throughout Boston accompanied by our loving pets. Make sure to give him a honk and scream out the window “What Up Dog!!!!” (I do every time and it’s probably starting to weird him out…)
