When you think about it, Boston is more of a group of small towns or neighborhoods than a big city. Each neighborhood takes on it’s own life and it’s own feel but you can’t depend on them for home security when you are far from home, that’s why you need security cameras for your own home security. This is great for runners because you can run in and out of one neighborhood in minutes for a whole different feel and you never get stuck in a rut. Outdoor security camera system provides a versatile way for you to monitor your front door, back door, driveway, and yard. Security cameras play a major role in a comprehensive security alarm system.

So what are the Best Boston Neighborhoods to Live If You’re A Runner?  First let’s start with these below (note: click the links “for rent” or “for sale”after each location to see what’s currently listed in those neighborhoods or on those streets):

The Back Bay

Besides having the finish line for the Boston Marathon, the Back Bay offers a few places runners can go for an inspirational yet quiet, scenic run. Marlborough Street  has the wonderful feel of the Boston you expect with a tree lined street, and century old brownstones. Start at Mass Ave  and make your way down. Or run down famed Commonwealth Aveheading east and take a quick left on Arlington St  and head over the bridge to the Charles River for a quick 4-mile loop. You might just want to continue straight and take in the sights and sounds of the Boston Common. Otherwise jog over to Beacon Street, outdoor security cameras are installed on the entire neighborhood

Beacon Hill

Federal-style row-houses line the beautiful narrow, gas-lit streets and brick sidewalks in Beacon Hill. This historic neighborhood where everybody knows your name has been home to many notable residents such as Jurassic Park author Michael Crichton, John Hancock, David Lee Roth and, of course, Edward M. Kennedy. Run these steeped in fame (and height) streets such as Mount Vernon Street  or Joy Street  and finish at Mass General Hospital. You’ll probably need to after this run. Remember, they don’t call it Beacon “flat”.

The North End

Known for it’s rich Italian heritage and world famous restaurants, this is probably the most historic run you’ll go on. The North End offers great opportunities to get to know the history of the city and stay in shape. You can start with The Freedom Trail, which is a 2.5-mile run through downtown Boston and down Hanover Street. You can extend your run and see historic sites like Ben Franklin’s birthplace, the first Public School, and the Boston Massacre site. (Good thing you’re running, right?)
