Free CrossFit Session

CrossFitEver wonder if you could handle a CrossFit Session? Well now is your chance to try it out, and its free!

Crossfit "focuses on high intensity interval training, which fitness experts say is the most efficient way to workout." It is one of the most popular types of fitness training for 2013 and is taking the nation by storm. 

The Reebok CrossFit, located at 31 James Ave in Back Bay, will be having their free session on Saturday, November 23rd from 12:00PM-1:00PM. The indoor session will be lead by a Reebok CrossFit coach and will include a introduction to the sport,a team work out and a cool down with a physical therapist.

The Reebok CrossFit session will be small and space is limited so register online today.

Boston Public Library Free Tours

Established in 1848, the Boston Public Library is known as "one of the five most importantlibrary libraries in America". It's history and millions of articles, books and other reading materials make this library a wonderful Back Bay destination for locals and tourists alike.

The Boston Public Libary offers free tours "The Boston Public Library offers public tours highlighting the architecture of Charles Follen McKim and Philip Johnson, as well as the many works of famed sculptors and painters. The free tours last about an hour and are given by volunteer guides. No appointment is necessary. Tours meet in the lobby of the McKim Building (Dartmouth Street entrance). Newbury Tree Lighting Ceremony

The lighting ceremony will include performances by Boston-based singer and songwriters Vincent King, who will debut the Newbury Street Jingle 'I'm On Newbury Street' and award-winning singer Shea Rose, Best Female Vocalist of the Year Nominee, Boston Music Awards! Also a chance to meet New England Patriot Danny Aiken and many more!

The Newbury Street League supports the stores and restaurants on Newbury Street at the annual public tree lighting ceremony as the kick-off for the holiday season. Watch as our 'Holiday Luminaries', notables of our local Press/Media, light up the trees on Newbury Street and herald the Newbury Street arrival of the Elf Challenge at many Newbury Street Locations!"

The event will be held on Tuesday, November 19th at 5:30pm at the corner of Newbury & Gloucester Street.

movemberThe Stash Dash is a scavanger hunt bar crawl that donates all tickets towards Movember and men's health. This year The Stash Dash will be held on Satuday, November 23rd with registation starting at 11:30am at Fenway.

This is a great way for anyone 21+ to have some fun with friends, meet some new ones and, for those who are participating, have some fun with their growing stache. 

The Stash Dash ticket will include the Mustache Dash T-Shirt and backpack, Scavenger Hunt Activity list, complimentary mustache and more! All participating bars will also cover fees for those with valid wristbands. 

Last year the event raised over $3200 from the 400+ attendees.

Tickets are currently $23.00 and are available online. Ticket pricing will change the day of the event.

As the seasons change, so do the beers. With fall and winter bringing more spice and heartiness to beers, the best way to experience the change in flavor is to try all of them out. 

There will be over twenty five New England brewers in attendance bringing over 80 craft beers. Each New England brewer will bring at least one fall or winter inspired beverage for guests to sample.

Free Tours for Veterans and Active Miliary Members at Fenway Park

Fenway ParkIn honor of Veteran's Day, the Boston Red Sox will be offering free Fenway Park tours to all veterans and active members of the military today.

Tour hours will be from 10am-5pm with start at the top of every hour. The tours will offer insight on one of American's most beloved ballpark and the Red Sox players. Now is a particularly exciting time to visit the ballpark due to the recent 2013 World Series win over the St. Louis Cardinals. 

"Veterans and active members will be able to pick up their tickets at the Gate D ticket booth, which is on the corner of Yawkey Way and Van Ness Street, and they will be asked to show their military identification to redeem their free tour ticket."

Veteran's Day is a chance to honor and give thanks to all the men and women who have served in our nation's military. Here are a list of some of the events going on in the Boston area. 

Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Dinner
The Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Dinner will be in Natick on November 11th at 6:00pm at the Natick Community Senior Center. The event is sponsored by the Town of Natick, Natick Soldier Systems Center, Natick Veterans Council, and police and fire unions. All veterans, active duty service members, and their families are invited. RSVP to veterans@natickma.org.

Veteran’s Day Offer
This Veterans Day, the Prudential Center’s California Pizza Kitchen and Boston Duck Tours are joining forces to offer those who currently serve or have served in the United States’ military service a complimentary meal and tour. As a small way of saying thanks for the tremendous commitment, sacrifice, and heroism that the service men and women have shown, members of the United States military can enjoy any pizza from California Pizza Kitchen’s menu, along with a non-alcoholic beverage (dine-in only) on Sunday, November 11th (Veterans Day) or Monday, November 12th when they show military ID or other proof of service or if they visit the restaurant in uniform.

Boston Veteran's Day Parades
The Boston Veteran's Day Parade kick off at 1pm on Monday, November 11, 2013 at the corner of Boylston and Tremont Streets, and wind their ways along Boston Common and on to City Hall Plaza and Faneuil Hall, where you can hear a variety of speeches and music and pay tribute to servicemen and women.  

There will also be a Veterans for Peace Parade following the first parade.
