Charlesgate Realty Group will be participating in the Marine Toys for Tots drive this holiday season.

The Toys for Tots program is one of the largest non-profits in the United States and has donated over 469 million toys to over 216 million less fortunate children.

The Charlesgate Realty Group LLC office is located in Back Bay, between Whiskey's and Back Bay Social Club and will be serving as a drop off point for new, unwrapped toys for children under 10 years old. Charlesgate will be donating one additional toy for every toy that is donated.

The last day of donations will be on Thursday, December 12th.

The Harvard Square Holiday Fair will be starting on Friday, December 6th and continue every Friday-Sunday until December 23rd. The fair will be held at the First Parish Church in Cambridge.

SantaCon is finally here! The holiday event everyone 21+ can enjoy will be in the city on Saturday, December 7th. 

This is a themed bar crawl, so everyone is attendance is recommended to wear a Santa costume or a festive outfits! 

SantaCon starts at 12:00pm at Game On in Fenway. There will be a donation center for Toys for Tots for anyone who would like to donate. As the day goes on, the bar crawl will go through Copley into Downtown and towards the West End.

Last year, there were over 2,000 Santas that participated. There is no need to register and there will not be a cover for the bars.

The 2013 Boston Music Awards will be held Sunday, December 8th at the Liberty Hotel. 

"Once again, the BMAs will feature some of the region's most compelling emerging and established talent from Garage to Rock to Pop to Blues Metal, Punk, Indie, Americana, International, Jazz, Hip Hop, RNB, Electronic, Folk and everything in between."

Performing artists include Potty Mouth, Reks and Bearstronaut. General admission tickets for this event are $25 and $100 for VIP. Ticket proceeds from this event have been given to various music charities in the New England area.

Join Boston for the 72nd Annual Boston Common Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 5th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. 

"The holiday decorations throughout Boston Common and the Public Garden, including the City of Boston’s official Christmas tree, will light up in sequence shortly before 8 p.m. when Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the Honorable Andrew Younger, Minister with the Government of Nova Scotia, are joined by members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Santa Claus. The show will close with a pyrotechnic display by MagicFire, Inc. 

WCVB TV’s Anthony Everett and JC Monahan will host Channel 5’s live broadcast of the event beginning at 7 p.m. featuring New Kid on the Block Joey McIntyre, 'American Idol' Season 11 finalist Erica Van Pelt, Blue Man Group, Nova Scotia band Squid Precision Drumming, Morning Star Baptist Church Gospel Choir, Boston Ballet, Boston Celtics official junior dance team LilPhunk, and representatives of the Boston Red Sox with the 2013 World Series trophy."

The 2nd Annual Christmas in the City Kick-Off & Celebrity Holiday Tree Auction event will be Tuesday, December 3rd at the Seaport Hotel from 6pm-8pm.

The evening will feature an auction of extraordinary Christmas trees lit and fully decorated by Mayor Thomas Menino and Milan Lucic! All of the proceeds from this event will go towards Christmas in the City. 

"Christmas in the City, a 100% volunteer organization, will hold its 25th Annual Holiday Party this year and is expecting to serve more children than last year when they hosted 4,000 children & Moms living in shelters or transitional housing at their celebration.  The following day, they gave out 8,500 more gifts of toys and clothing to the families of boys and girls who have fallen on hard times and otherwise might find nothing under the tree. "

The BSSC will be hosting their 80's Ski Style Bar Crawl on Saturday, December 7th! The bar crawl will be from 12:30pm-7:00pm and be located in Faneuil Hall.

The 29th Annual Tree Lighting Cereomny will kick off the holiday season and Small Business Saturday this weekend in Roslindale Village! 

"The Annual Tree Lighting ceremony marks the official kick off of the holidays in the Village, starting at 3:00 PM in Adams Park on Saturday, November 30th.

This much-loved event always draws a crowd to enjoy the performances, crafts, ornament art projects for the kids this year featuring Art Van Go, a mobile art van based in Roslindale, and Santa's arrival in the Ladder 16 fire truck.
