Their sophomore, self-titled album was nominated for best pop vocal album Grammy and for best pop vocal performance for 'Never Say Never.'"

The tour is aimed to promote their new album 'Helios'.

danOn Sunday, July 27, there will be a #SaveDan Fundraiser in honor of Dan Grimes in Fenway Park.

"R&B-pop crooner Ne-Yo and pop songstress Natasha Bedingfield will take the stage with a goal of raising $1 million to benefit The CareOne Cancer Fund in Honor of Dan Grimes.

Grimes, a 42-year-old Carver resident and HealthBridge executive, was recently diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, despite being a lifelong non-smoker. He will receive the fund’s initial grants."

Shakespeare on the Common will be back in the Boston Common from July 23rd-Agust 10th. The production this year will be Twelfth Night.

Fishing at the Boston Children's Museum

One of the popular events this year is their Fishing 101 Class. The classes will be held at various dates and times until August 22nd. 

"Museum partner Save the Harbor/Save the Bay returns for another summer of fishing and exploring life in the Fort Point Channel.  Learn the basics of casting a line and waiting patiently for a bite. Touch a green crab or take a close look at different types of fish."

Public Open Night at the BU Observatory

coit observatory "Transport your mind into outer space at the BU Astronomical Observatory for a free night of stargazing. Learn a bit about astronomy while getting a view unlike any you could see from home.

The Public Open Night at the Observatory is a chance for people to come observe the night sky through telescopes and binoculars and see things they otherwise might not get to see, and learn some astronomy as well. The Open Nights are held most Wednesday evenings throughout the year, weather permitting. 

It is open to everyone. Starting times are 8:30pm during the spring and summer, and 7:30pm during the fall and winter. The program lasts about an hour."

‘Wahlburgers on Wheels’ in Faneuil Hall

wahlburgersWahlburgers is expanding and Bostonians can get a little preview of whats to come in Faneuil Hall next week. 

"Mark your calendars for July 26 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., when the Wahlburgers truck will set up shop in Faneuil Hall, outside of Quincy Market, to hand out free signature burgers made with special Wahl sauce, pickles and government cheese, as well as tater tots.

As if free burgers and tots wasn't enough, there will be cornhole games and a GIF-booth set up on sight for added celebrations in honor of Wahlburgers Season Two, which will premiere on August 13 on A&E."

No word on if any of the Wahlbergs will be at the event.

'Ted 2' Casting Call

boston castingWant to have a small part in the 'Ted 2' movie? Well here is your chance! On Saturday, July 26th the casting call for the movie will be held in Boston! 

According to the open casting call, the part is open to all types of people, 18 years old and up and will be available for both SAG-Aftra and non-union extras. 

"While the casting call is open to any and all adults looking to be featured in the film, there's another niche community sought by the production crew. Boston Casting is calling for cosplay actors who have 'fantastic costumes' depicting movie and comic book heroes to audition as extras to show up to the audition in costume."
