So if you like to be festive and happen to have an ugly sweater laying around, The Ugly Sweater Party at The Greatest Bar in the West End should be the next event on your list. 

Grab your friends and enjoy a night of holiday cheer! The Ugly Sweater Party will be held on Friday, December 12th from 9pm-2am. DJ Jonny Dougs will be there, playing top 40 & dance music all night!

Holiday Craft Fair in Harvard Square

craft fair"The Harvard Square Holiday Craft Fair, one of the oldest and most popular fairs in Boston, will celebrate its 29th season in 2014.  

It takes place in the basement and courtyard of the First Parish Church on the corner of Church Street and Massachusetts Avenue and runs for 12 or so days in December, the dates varying from year to year.

The fair includes a changing mix of New England craftspeople and world traveling importers featuring many wonderful gift items. Talking to the craftspeople who make what they sell gives shoppers a connection to what they are buying that is just not possible at the mall, through a catalog or online."

31 Nights of Light at the Prudential

Each night of December, the top of Prudential Tower is lit a different color in support of that night's partner.

'31 Nights of Light' was created to help community organizations gain key visibility during the holiday season. Participating groups will 'flip the switch' each night, with a host of musical performances and speakers each night."

Participating organizations include AIDS Action, Reach Out And Read and First Night.

Santa Speedo Run in Back Bay

speedorun'Tis the season for festivities in Boston. Whether you want to run, donate or just watch, The Santa Speedo Run is definitely one event that should not be missed!

The Santa Speedo Run will be held in Boston on Saturday, December 6th. 

The Speedo Run is held in the Back Bay area. Runners will run about a mile between Newbury & Boylston in their speedos. Runners then have the option to join the SantaCon event after completion.

The Speedo Run is not only fun but raises money for Play Ball, a charity that focuses on promoting an active lifestyles and sporting events for children. 

Festivities start at 1:00pm in front of Lir, Boston.

Boston Common Tree Lighting

Another notable tree lighting is the Boston Common Tree Lighting. On December 4th, the mayor, Santa, and a variety of performers will be in the Boston Common for this event! The Boston Common Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held from 4-8pm. 

After the Boston Common Tree Lighting, take in the city and walk around the Public Garden and Frog Pond.
