"Hearth Shares is partnering with participating restaurants in Greater Boston. Diners are invited to add a $1 donation to their table's bill, post-tax, during the months of November and December.
Hearth Shares is based on an incredibly successful and innovative fundraising program in the United Kingdom called StreetSmart.
It began in London in 1998 and has raised over $10,000,000 for local homeless programs. Chefs such as Fergus Henderson, Gordon Ramsay, Angela Hartnett, and Ashley Palmer-Watts are advocates, and StreetSmart now boasts over 500 participating restaurants."
Participating Boston restaurants include Aquataine, The Beehive, Gaslight and Union Bar & Grill!
