South Street Diner, the only 24/7 diner in Boston, will be celebrating National Eggs Benedict Day with special menu items on Wednesday, April 16th.
"Eggs benedict originated in 1894 after Wall Street Broker Lemuel Benedict ordered 'buttered toast, poached eggs, crisp bacon, and a hooker of Hollandaise' at the Waldorf Hotel. The dish was then modified to its traditional version and named after Lemuel, thus creating the classic American breakfast dish."
South Street Diner will be serving over 16 variations of the popular breakfast item including lobster, bacon, burger and California benedict. For a full list of variations, please click here.
