"The 6th Annual Liam's Lucky Charms' Cornhole Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 30 at the Boston Athletic Club! 

Come play in one of New England's largest cornhole tournaments. Entry fee gets you into the tournament and all you can eat and drink for the day! Spectators are welcome as well. 

Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. and games will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m."

1. Boston Common | Back Bay

"Boston Common is one of the most beautiful parks in the city. The Common allows well-behaved dogs to be off leash between 6am and 9am and again from 4pm to 8pm. Dogs are allowed in the park on-leash throughout the day."

2. Richmond Street Dog Park | North End

"This is a North End hidden gem. It is an entirely fenced-in, off-leash park maintained by a local community group. The park was renovated in April of 2013 and features new paving, gravel, fencing, flowering plants, a trash barrel and cleaning equipment. Poop bags are also available onsite."

3. Danehy Park | Cambridge

"Located at 99 Sherman Street, Cambridge residents love this 50-acre park that features an unfenced, off-leash area. The park also features a soccer field and a baseball field and is always full of friendly, local dog owners."

1. Carson Beach

"With tons of new sand and brilliant downtown views, Carson Beach (pictured) is arguably both the city-est and the beachiest of Boston’s city beaches. The bathhouse has new showers and changing rooms, and the old-school bocce courts and chess tables bump up the nostalgia quotient. Peckish after a swim? The South Boston location of Tasty Burger makes beach deliveries."

2. Castle Island 

"Actually part of the mainland, Castle Island is home to Fort Independence, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and to the beloved hot-dog shack Sullivan’s, which ought to be. No wonder Whitey Bulger loved hanging out here"

"So what if this 105-acre Boston Harbor Island was once the site of a horse-rendering plant and a city dump? It sure cleaned up nice! Accessible by ferry (from Long Wharf) from May through October, modern-day Spectacle offers 5 miles"

5. Charles River Esplanade

"The erstwhile dirty water off the banks of this riverside park is now swimmable. Well, on special occasions, anyway. On July 12 and July 26, three local organizations will cohost the second annual Charles River Community Swims, allowing 30 people at a time, for 30 minutes at a time, to brave the caramel-hued surf off the dock near the Hatch Shell."

About SUP Yo: Yoga students seeking a new challenge can find it in paddleboard yoga at SUP YO. The classes—which take place atop standup paddleboards in local harbors—require greater concentration and coordination than onshore classes, whose students don't have to deal with waves or shouting Poseidons. "When you think of Bartley’s, two things come to mind: burgers and frappes. Thick, creamy frappes (remember... they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from milkshakes). Naturally, they have the basics covered, but the Harvard Square institution also likes to explore a little with concoctions like the Cherry Bomb (vanilla with chocolate chip cookies, cherries, whipped cream), The Elvis Frappe (chocolate with Reese’s Cup and banana "all shook up"), and the Strawberry Shortcake Frappe (vanilla with strawberries, shortbread, and whipped cream). Combine one with a burger and you will not move for four weeks."

"Folks have a lot of love for J.P. Licks, and for many good reasons. Like their rotating monthly flavors (Fresh Peach, Cake Batter, Rocky-er Road). And their brownie sundae. Head to Nantucket this Memorial Day Weekend to experience Figawi 2015 - one of the premier sailboat races on the east coast. 

"The 44th Annual Figawi Race Weekend is recognized as a top sailing event not only on the east coast but is known nationally as well as internationally. Figawi Race Weekend kicks off the the Cape Cod and Nantucket summer season. Entries include sailors from several states 240+ boats (including 30 power boats) and over 3,000 sailors and visitors, as well as locals, attend this event.
