Enjoy the last few weeks of summer...for FREE! Here are a few ideas from Boston.com to see the city without breaking the bank.

1. Take a stroll along the scenic Boston Harborwalk.

2. Take in a free concert or movie at the Hatch Shell beside the Charles. The Friday Night Flicks series offers family-friendly movies throughout the summer.

3. Cool off in the Boston Common Frog Pond in the heart of the historic Boston Common.

4. For 10 weeks this summer, enjoy free admission to 70 museums, art centers, zoos and more, courtesy of the Highland Street Foundation’s Free Fun Fridays. The Boston Children’s Museum is free July 3.

5. Take a tour of the Massachusetts State House, one of the oldest buildings on Beacon Hill.

6. Sam Adams Brewery offers tours of its Jamaica Plain facility Monday to Thursday and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., starting every half hour. The brewery asks for a suggested donation of $2 to benefit local charities.

7. Harvard Square is a lively place full of free entertainment, food and attractions. Catch a free street performance or a free reading or book signing at Harvard Book Store.

8. Walking doesn’t cost a thing, and the Freedom Trail is truly unique. Follow the red, mostly brick line throughout Boston, and explore 16 historic sites along the way.

9. Coolidge Corner Wine and Spirits offers free tastings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m on Thursdays and Fridays. Saturday tastings run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

10. Catch a performance on the Boston Common with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s “Free Shakespeare On The Common,” summer tradition in the city since 1996.
